Mash House Expansion
Our team provided engineering design to expand the Mash Cookers, Drop Tubs, and ancillary equipment to handle an increased capacity of more than double. To achieve this, the drop system was converted from gravity feed to a pumping system and the traveling scale hopper system was replaced with a milled grain transfer system to the Mash Cookers. A new cooling tower was installed to support the expanded process demands.
Preservation of the historic building and maintaining tour aesthetics were key factors in this project. Our engineers embraced these challenges and provided a functional design that created impressive results. C&I also managed geographical obstacles, navigating complex government permitting and incorporation of flood design to maintain slope integrity for this project.
