Chris Sergent
Catlettsburg Site Manager
“I honestly believe I have the best job at C&I. As a site manager, I get the opportunity to interact with many facets of our client’s organization as well as all of the departments within C&I. It is the success I get to share with these great people that makes working here compelling and rewarding.”
Chris wears many hats as the Site Engineering Manager for C&I’s Catlettsburg Office, handling most of the day-to-day operations of this location. Chris joined C&I in 2007 as a Project Engineer, a position he continues to hold today, dedicated primarily to small projects at the Catlettsburg Refinery.
Chris is a lifelong resident of West Virginia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the West Virginia Institute of Technology. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and holds a Project Management Professional certification. Chris has nearly 28 years of industrial experience that includes pressure relief systems design, Process Safety Management, air quality permitting across a variety of industries throughout the state of West Virginia, and project engineering roles in the chemical and refining industries.
Outside of the office, Chris spends much of his time with his wife, Jill, and two girls on their family’s horse farm. Chris is extremely proud of his daughters. His oldest, Chloe, is a Marshall University graduate and a professional violinist and fiddler. His younger daughter, Hattie, is a Stamps Scholar in pre-med at Ole Miss. His summers are filled with BBQing by the pool with family and friends. Chris also enjoys building radio controlled cars and competing online on iRacing in his auto racing simulator.
