Manager of Marketing and Business Development
We are currently seeking a full-time Manager of Marketing and Business Development in our Louisville, KY office to help us achieve our company mission. This person will be part of the Marketing/Business Development team which is responsible for representing and presenting the services C&I can provide to current and potential clients. C&I is an employee-owned, full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Determines marketing opportunities and needs.
- Formulates and implements business development programs.
- Manages corporate marketing material and enhances communication to improve name recognition.
- Develops materials and programs to communicate capabilities.
- Participates in the formulation of C&I’s marketing plans.
- Assists management in establishing goals for all marketing activities.
- Identifies potential clients from published material and identifies appropriate staff personnel to develop opportunities.
- Recommends personnel actions to the Executive Director of Projects.
- Directs the action of other marketing personnel.
- Creates sales material, prepares presentations, and presents information to prospective clients.
- Researches competition and proposes new marketing activities to generate new clients.
- Analyze staff and dollar expenditures in terms of the success of generating business and return on investment.
- Recommends marketing material to C&I’s Strategic Business Directors to enhance and improve C&I’s marketing efforts.
Minimum requirements:
- Four-year Degree in engineering or technical equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
- 5 years of management and leadership experience.
- Driver’s License.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Other Preferred Competencies:
- Proficient in providing strong customer service to clients and project teams.
- Must be able to communicate service to clients.
- Technical background and knowledge of engineering practices.
