The client believes the economics are trending toward lighter crudes in the near-term and future and is in looking at processing lighter crudes. For this reason, C&I is to study the impact of a lighter crude slate on the Crude Unit and identify modifications and costs necessary to position the CU for a lighter slate at 45 MBPSD. After the study, the results and costs will be reviewed with management and a decision will be made to continue to process design if the economics are favorable.
