C&I was responsible for the design and engineering of interconnecting piping, pipe racks and tank conversions for a major expansion at a petroleum refinery. The $650MM expansion consists of adding five new units south of the existing refinery. The first phase of the OSBL project consists of designing piping, cable trays, steel and foundations for over 2000 linear feet of new and retrofit pipe racks. The second phase includes an additional 400 linear feet of new pipe racks and a truck unloading facility. The OSBL pipe rack associated with the reworked Coker, Amine units, and a new DMS facility totaled a little over one mile of new rack thru the existing refinery. Over half of the piping was routed thru existing operating units.
